PM Interval Cost Optimiser takes PM labour and parts, repair labour and parts, downtime hours per failure, and — for each candidate interval — the failures per year you expect at it and returns the total annual cost of each candidate PM interval, the cheapest one, and what it saves against the interval you run today. At each candidate interval: PMs per year = 365 ÷ interval; PM cost = PMs × (PM labour × your burdened rate + PM parts); failure cost = the failures per year YOU entered for that interval × (repair labour × rate + repair parts + downtime hours × your downtime rate); total = the two added. The cheapest total is flagged. The workbook does not predict failure rates — the whole point is that you supply them. Nothing is pre-filled with an outside figure — no recommended PM interval, no failure model, no OEM schedule, no interval library presented as correct. Every value on every sheet is one you entered or one computed from what you entered, against the As-of date you set on 1. Setup, never today's date.
