Maintenance Backlog Capacity Calculator takes each backlog job's estimated hours and trade, your crew size, hours per technician per week, your own wrench time %, and the new work arriving each week and returns how many weeks the backlog takes to clear at today's capacity, the date it clears, and how many technicians it would take to clear it by a date you choose. Available hours per week = technicians × hours each × your wrench time %. Net hours against the backlog = available − the new work arriving each week. Weeks to clear = backlog ÷ net, and when net is zero or negative the workbook says NEVER CLEARS AT THIS CAPACITY rather than returning a number. Crew needed = the backlog spread over your target weeks plus the new work, divided by one technician's productive hours, rounded up. Nothing is pre-filled with an outside figure — no standard wrench time, no crew-size norm, no backlog-weeks benchmark. Every value on every sheet is one you entered or one computed from what you entered, against the As-of date you set on 1. Setup, never today's date.
